Reporting to a Confounder Boss is like being a robot. Confounder Bosses want you to let them blunder along without regard for the consequences of their actions.

Reporting to a Dumbfounder Boss is like pretending that you do not see an accident about to happen. Dumbfounder Bosses want you to provide numerical results reports that make their department look good regardless of how accurate or complete those results are.

Reporting to a Propagator Boss is like being a devoted cheerleader. Propagator Bosses want you to be their disciple & co-conspirator, and help them climb the career ladder.

Reporting to a Player Boss is like playing with a manipulative and mean child. Player Bosses want you to praise them as a parent, as if they are a child who keeps asking, "I'm a good boy/girl, aren't I?"

8. Insult, taunt, harass, or threaten you; or snap, shout or curse at you?
Reporting to a Bully Boss is like being one of the "Three Little Pigs" living in a house made of straw or twigs. Bully Bosses want you to consider them superior to you in all things and tolerate their incivilities.

9. Expect you to agree with her or his ideas, or give you incorrect information?
Reporting to a Manipulator Boss is like being "Little Red Riding Hood." Manipulator Bosses want you to be dependent on them regardless of your position or level of competence.

10. Gossip with your peers or encourage infighting and internal competition?
Reporting to a Cult-Maker Boss is like being a "Cinderella" or "Cinderfella," living in servitude. Cult-Maker Bosses want you to worship them with blind obedience and go along with the majority without question. (Another word for this experience is "mobbing.")

11. Use company assets inappropriately or unethically?
Reporting to a Pilferer Boss is like being a suspect in a crime with an unethical investigator searching for evidence against you, as if you are the guilty one. Pilferer Bosses want you to pretend that you don't see them take things and/or privileges to which they are not entitle, to help gain access to things they can use to their personal advantage, and to ignore their unwise and inappropriate expenditures of company funds.

12. Work against company goals and programs while pretending to support them?
Reporting to a Saboteur Boss is like (1) being witness to a crime you're unable to stop; or (2) living in the past; or (3) being in a cold war. Saboteur Bosses want you to help them undermine those of your organization's programs that put them at a personal disadvantage.

Reporting to a Combination-Type Boss is like walking through a fun house at the circus. Combination-Type Bosses want you to pretend not to notice their inconsistencies and adapt to their changing personality on a daily or hourly basis.
